Power | Knowledge | Morality

Timeless is a steampunk story set in a time that recalls the Californian gold rush of 1849, but in this world it is shale mines and oil rather than precious metals which drive the economy, intrigue, and armed conflict.

Many citizens of the sprawling oriental empire are dismayed and frustrated by the daily displays of corruption, abuses of power, and more recently the genocide of the only other terrestrial, sentient race.

In such an environment the truism knowledge is power acquires a deadly significance, and for a small few the question of morality in the face of petty reality trumps all other concerns.
