What I have to say doesn't sound any more probable than what Ghost-Eye has told you, in his shammed ravings that are being broadcast. He's insane, but he knows what he is doing. That letter isn't the end of his plans; it's the beginning!

I chased Coyote and Sai into the city, into an alley. I didn't have time to wait for the soldiers. I had my orders to follow.

Ghost-Eye was waiting for me in that alley. He was waiting for all of us.

He tripped me as I came around the corner, with a damn cane. Blind though he is, he doesn't need a cane!

I lost my breath, and my gun. I remember every word Ghost-Eye said. I'll never forget the calm tone of voice, as if he controlled everything, and was surprised by none of it.

And it was true. Aside from him, none of us expected what was coming, least of all Coyote.
